Martha Ladly
Dr. Martha Ladly is an artist and designer, a noted researcher and holder of a major Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Insight grant. She is a Principal Investigator with the Visual Analytics Lab at OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. Her PhD in the philosophy of technology tackles historical and contemporary issues of technology and gender in the arts. Martha is the author of numerous articles and books on digital art, technology, design, and entertainment and has presented and exhibited her interactive art and design research internationally. In the 1990s Martha was Head of Design with Peter Gabriel’s Real World Group in the U.K. winning BAFTA and Grammy awards with her colleagues for their outstanding design and interactive artworks. Martha also had a prominent international recording career in the 1980s as a Canadian Juno award winning musical artist and performer.
