Margaret Crosby-Arnold


Dr. Margaret Crosby-Arnold is presently a Research Scholar in the Department of History at Columbia University, where she returned in 2017, after several years with Columbia University’s European Institute. Her work at Columbia, where she has an invention agreement, has focused on the development of the History of Diversity in Early Modern and Modern Europe, with a particular focus on the African Diaspora. Prior to Columbia, Dr. Crosby-Arnold was a tenured Associate Professor of History at Howard University. She began her career with dual appointments as an AHRC Research Fellow at King’s College-London and as a Guest Scientist at the Max-Planck-Institute for European Legal History, in Frankfurt, Germany.
