Chloe Ireton
Chloe Ireton is a Lecturer in the History of Iberia and the Iberian World 1500-1800. Chloe is currently completing a monograph that traces intellectual histories of free and enslaved black Africans in the sixteenth-century Iberian world. Chloe is also the author of “They Are Blacks of the Caste of Black Christians”: Old Christian Black Blood in the Sixteenth- and Early Seventeenth-Century Iberian Atlantic,” published in the Hispanic American Historical Review in 2017.
